most of the kids did not need to be in booster but still got into the program. They loved Ollie and started to cheer his name at the end. Best group of older kids I have seen so far.

The event went really well. We were able to not only talk to kids, but their parents as well. We got a very good response from the parents.

This was an awesome way to show off Ollie. We were able to reach out to kids of all ages and their parents. Ollie was a big hit at the fair.

04-28-08 - Presented Ollie at a P.L.E.A.S.E. Network meeting to other Officers.
Went very well and was able to get more volunteers for the program.

05-02-08 - Went to Chapman Retreat in Williamson County to watch and help with presentation.

Went great and I had a lot of fun being Ollie.

04-05-08 - Car seat check up and block party for safety belt education at Cool Springs Mall 2pm-5pm

03-21-09 - Car Seat CheckpointOak Ridge, TennesseePartnering with Oak Ridge Fire and Police Department. Ollie will greet attendees and distribute booster seat information.

Boyd's Creek Head Start Ollie presentation. 20 students, 4 faculty members.

01-17-09 - Wartburg Car Seat Checkpoint
Ollie is partnering with Safe Kids, Wartburg Police Deparment and Sexton Automotive Group to offer a car seat checkpoint and booster seat education to the community.

11-18-09 - Coordinated School Health Fair @ Oak High School. Ollie will be used to help educate attendees about the importance of booster seats and Tennessee law regarding booster seat usage.

12-17-08 - Ollie attends Regional Govenor's Highway Safety Office meeting at Sagebrush in Oak Ridge.
Ollie made a special appearance at the regional GHSO meeting in Oak Ridge to educate the officers in attendance about the invaluable tool the Ollie program can be!

09-18-08 - "Walk on the Wild Side" event at Willowbrook Elementary School. Safe Kids had a booth that distributed safety information.
Spoke with about 250 students and parents about the importance of being properly restrained.

09-22-08 - Car Seat Checkpoint with State Farm in Knoxville. Ollie was there to meet children and encourage the proper use of booster seats.
Installed 8 car seats and gave away 3 booster seats.

09-23-08 - Ollie came to "Clinton Family Night Out" and helped distribute information about being properly restrained.
Spoke with over 300 children. About 1,000 in attendance.

09-24-08 - Ollie attended the Oak Ridge Safety Expo. Information was given out to show the importance of proper restraints for children. Ollie used the measuring board and booster seats to show how a booster can save children's lives.
Over 3,000 adults in attendance.

09-16-08 - Ollie came to the first "Cub Scout Automotive Safety Patch program" and helped show the importance of booster seats. This program has a seat belt fit test component and that is where Ollie showed his stuff!
Two troops attended this event. Great feedback on booster seat education!

09-27-08 - Ollie attended the Hola! Knoxville Hispanic Heritage Festival. He helped measure children to show parents their height and educate on the law and the importance of using a booster seat until the adult seat belt system fits appropriately.
Over 5,000 attendees.

10-05-08 - Ollie attended the "Down Syndrome Awareness Group Buddy Walk" and helped measure children to get their correct height and educate parents about the importance of using booster seats until the adult seat belt system fits appropriately.

10-30-07 - Went to Big Ridge Elemantary to present the Ollie Otter show. I had a wonderful time.
The children were excited and had a great time. The staff helped by getting involved.

10-29-07 - Went to Sharps Chapel Elementary to present the Ollie Otter show and had a wonderful time.
The program was well received by all.

10-04-07 - Today was my first day with this project. I went to two presentations. The first was at Philadelphia Elementary in Loudon County, Tennessee. The second was at Eagleton Elementary in Maryville, Tennessee.
The reaction from the students was extremely energetic and responsive. The faculity at both locations were very receptive. The feedback was positive. I look forward to many more presentations in the future.

05-19-08 - Marshall County Elementary School
Mr. Jim and Ollie made a surprise visit to Lewisburg today. The Tiger Cubs of Marshall County Elementary roared as Ollie spread the good news of booster seat safety!

05-12-08 - Presentation at Bel-Aire Elementary School in Tullahoma, TN.
Principal Donna Rhoton reminded the students to "Bee Safe" with Jim Potts from TTC Shelbyvile & Ollie the Otter. The Bees of Bel-Aire were buzzing as Ollie and Mr Jim presented the Booster Seat Program to over 325 students!

04-28-08 - Liberty Elementary hears the message of Booster Seat safety proclaimed!
The chant "Ollie, Ollie!" was heard ringing today as the Patriots of Liberty Elementary were greeted by Ms. Julie and Ollie the Otter. Over 320 students enjoyed the program.

04-28-08 - Ollie surprised the Lions of Unity School in Petersburg, TN this morning with Ms. Julie Brewer and Ollie.
The program was well received by over 220 students as the program presented the safety concerns of seat belts and booster seats!

09-23-08 - Visited the I-24 Welcome Center in Clarksville, Montgomery County, TN to install measuring posters for children traveling across our state.
Children from Tennessee will recognize Ollie from presentations they have seen in their local schools and be reminded to ride in their booster seats; additionally, parents and children traveling to Tennessee from other states will recognize the need for the safety of our children.

05-09-08 - Visited with the students at Sango Elementary
The children were able to visit with Ollie by individual grade levels. It was interesting to view their various responses based on age. The special needs children loved Ollie and the construction worker!

05-09-08 - Ollie visited West Cheatham Elementary
Ollie received an overwhelming reception by the children at West Cheatham! They were by far the loudest group of the day! Thank you!

04-21-08 - Ollie visited Oakmont Elementary in Dickson, TN.
This event was especially rewarding since all three of my children attended this elementary school. A big thank you to Mrs. Janey Thomas for allowing us to perform our first presentation at her school!
